Samsung’s massive 75-inch LED backlit 3D Smart TV steals the crown

Samsung giant (the TV, not the girl)Up until now, LG’s 72-inch LZ9700 was the world’s largest LED-backlit 3D LCD TV; but Samsung has now stolen the crown with the 75-inch D9500.

Featuring active shutter 3D technology, the 240Hz display will come equipped with Samsung’s Smart Hub network TV features, and will feature a QWERTY flip-keyboard remote for web-browsing and e-mailing applications. The styling features a minimal bezel and is dubbed ‘Secret Design’. Features include the 3D Hyper-real engine and Black Diamond panel.

The bad news is that this model is currently only on sale on Korea, at a hefty price of ?19,000,000 (around £10,700), complete with four pairs of active shutter glasses. Apparently it will also be launching in the US around August, but perhaps unsurprisingly, there’s no news of a European launch yet.
